Cascade Mountain Skyline

The Cascades run North-South to the East of Seattle.  On a clear day they're visible from the city.  Well, so we're told.

We went East from Redmond one weekend past Snoqualmie Falls and over Snoqualmie Pass.  It was a nice clear day and fairly warm for March, but driving over the pass we climbed right up over the snow line.  Suddenly there was three feet of packed snow on each side of the road and people skiing everywhere.

Once over the pass we turned North and drove through Wenatchee National Forest.  It was a beautiful day and a really nice drive.

On the way back from the forest we stopped at Leavenworth.   Not the prison, but a place perhaps as strange.
